  1. Phylum Chordata is the largest of the deuterostome phyla. All the chordates possess three unique characteristics at some stage in their life history. These are:

  9. Gnathostomata: It is further divided into two superclasses: (i) Pisces: It is divided into classes: Placodermi, Chondrichthyes, and Osteichthyes (ii) Tetrapoda: It is divided into four classes: Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, and Mammalia.
