16. Can students of grade 12 appear for NTSE?
Answer: NTSE or National Talent Search exam is only conducted for grade 10 students (i.e., students studying in grade 10 and yet to appear for their board exam). So no, the NTSE exam is not for grade 12. If you want you can use KVPY (Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna) which is also made for grade 12 students
17. How long does the NTSE exam take?
Answer: There will be 100 questions in both MAT and SAT (Science-40, Maths-20, Social science-40). The duration of both exams is 2 hours or 120 minutes. With NTSE Stage 2 exam, there is no negative mark.

Answer: NTSE has now been conducted for 8th-grade students in the 10th grade previously. However, NCERT conducted 2 more exams for 10th-grade students in 2007-2008, as it offered an opportunity to 9th and 10th-grade students at the time.
